Schoduvel 2020
Schoduvel is the carnival in Braunschweig, the day when groups are coming from outside of the town to show their costumes, perform music and dances and give sweets and small presents to the spectators. The spectators were in costumes too and even with the horrible weather on that day they had a lot of fun.
I wanted to document the spirit of that day and I wanted to show the people, both the performer and the spectators, as they defied rain and storm and showed their phantasy and their humor.
